DATA BREACH RESPONSE - WHAT TO DO WHEN IT HAPPENS TO YOU > Comprehensive incident management and response- getting the right people on the team >> Privacy & security considerations >> Methods for root cause analysis >> Assessing the immediate and long term risks- lessons learned and preventative action --- 2.BUILDING AN EFFECTIVE PRIVACY PROGRAM - Given the size and business needs of the organization, what goes into an effective privacy program, including:- > To whom should the privacy officer report? > What are the key functions of the privacy office (compliance, training, incident response and management, vendor management etc)? > How should the program be organized- single privacy officer or multiple staff? Full-time or part-time roles? > Who are the other key personnel- what supporting roles are needed as part of the program (privacy analysts, risk specialists, project managers, etc), and across the organization (security, HR, finance/procurement)? > What training and competencies are needed for program staff (JD, CIPP, CISSP, other)? What training is needed for supporting roles? For all employees? > What resources are needed, and how should resource decisions be made? > How do you measure program effectiveness (what are the metrics)? --- 3.
