Electronic Health Record (EHR): Evaluation, implementation and security issues. Speakers: Monica Arrowsmith, Director of the Indiana Healthcare Information Technology Extension Center (I-HITEC), Larry Landmeier CIO of Indiana Medical Associates, Trish Ping, Information Security Officer at Wishard Health Services. Overview: Each speaker will provide a 15 minute presentation and provide an overview of their experience or what they are doing as it relates to the evaluation or implementation of EHRs. Ms Arrowsmith will present on the Federal Grant that I-HITEC received and how they will provide assistance to primary care practices throughout Indiana. This will be followed by Mr Landmeier who helped select and implement an EHR over a five year period. Lastly, Ms Ping will address security issues associated with the implementation and adoption of EHRs. Following the presentations, the speakers will convene for a panel discussion and address questions from the audience.
